MEET CLAUDENS LOUIS

Born in Miami, FL, Haitian-American Claudens Louis is a saxophonist, educator, composer, producer, and active performing artist. Louis’ love for education has led him to conduct clinics and masterclasses at several universities and music programs around the world as a teaching artist. His passion for the arts, education, and his community has earned him his current position as the Jazz Director at Miami Arts Charter School.
As a performing artist, Louis’ experience includes performing in different countries as an American Music Ambassador for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and performing with stellar legendary artists such as 9-time Grammy Award winner Shaun Martin of Snarky Puppy, the Snarky Puppy horn section, Victor Wooten, Jason Derulo, Wyclef Jean, Stefon Harris, Warren Wolf, Drew Tucker, Black Violin, PostModern Jukebox’s Sarah Reich, and Prince’s MonoNeon, to name a few. He has toured globally with a number of these legendary artists, while also continuing to develop his voice as a bandleader with his own group, The CieL Experience.
Louis released his debut album of original works, Progression, in October 2018. Shortly after, he was featured on The New Standard as a member of the modern jazz fusion collective Drew Tucker and The New Standard. In 2025, he expanded his work as a bandleader with the release of Influences, the debut album by The CieL Experience, showcasing the group’s dynamic blend of jazz, fusion, and global musical influences.
He continues to impress audiences around the world with his high-energy performances, distinct style of improvisation, and original compositions. Claudens Louis and his unique style continue to provoke conversation across musical communities as he elevates his stature as a versatile jazz and world music artist.
